Satellite Phone Source Unveils Plan To Become No. 1 Provider

NASHVILLE, Sept. 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Satellite Phone Source, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SPHI) today unveiled a plan to become the largest provider of satellite telephone service in the United States in 2005.

Specifically, SPHI hopes to become the largest seller and renter of "Sat-phones" in the U.S., offering the largest "fleet" of instruments on the planet, according to Stan Wilson, CEO.

To achieve the leadership position, SPHI is negotiating favorable supply arrangements designed to enable the company to double its inventory.

"The satellite phone can communicate via voice, e-mail or data from anywhere to anywhere on the globe without restriction," Wilson said, "and that's why we believe it is the only truly global communications system, and destined to lead a revolution in the evolvement of the telephone."

SPHI has, for the past year, been preparing for the pending surge forward in the industry. The firm already leads in "Sat-phone" rentals and financing. Individuals can rent a phone with full service for under $30 a month.

Financing is a specialty of the firm, according to Wilson. "Hardly anyone else does it," he said. "But we are eager to offer the service. It provides another revenue stream. We even have our own leasing company."

The CEO predicted 2005 sales of over $1 million. Current customers include a major aerospace firm, a top eastern university, a well-known emergency service organization plus U.S. government agencies.
