Black Book Gives Away Harley-Davidson Road King

GAINESVILLE, Ga., Feb. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- National Auto Research, publisher of the popular Black Book(r) family of vehicle appraisal guides, is pleased to announce that Bruce Turiansky, Vice President of CarThink, is the winner of the 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King Custom which Black Book gave away at the 2005 National Automobile Dealers Association Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana.

"We wanted to do something really special to kick off the celebration of Black Book's 50th Anniversary," said Bob Burnett, President. "We thought giving away a Harley would generate a lot of excitement, but we had no idea just how successful it would be. We had dozens of people in the booth at any given time, and ended up with several thousand entries. It was great to catch up with so many long time Black Book subscribers, and meet a lot of new ones. The best part was when Bruce walked into the booth and I told him that he had won the Harley. The look on his face was priceless. It made it all worth while."

"I still can't believe I won," exclaimed Turiansky. "CarThink is a fairly new business, and all of the industry veterans I have spoken to always talk about the "Black Book", so I stopped by their booth to find out more. I dropped my name in the tumbler, but never thought I'd win because there were so many other cards already in it. I couldn't believe it when they pulled my name! Wow! I won the Harley! I haven't ridden for several years, but I've been feeling the pull recently and now that I have one I can't wait to ride it."

"This was an unbelievable Convention for us," remarked Tom Cross, Vice President. "We knew that the Harley give-away would draw people to our booth, but I was amazed that so many of them stayed after they entered the drawing to find out more about Black Book and our new products. Dealers who have used Black Book for twenty or thirty years were there finding out about our hand held PDAs and Internet based products. It's incredible how much technology has changed the car business, and we're excited about helping lead it into the 21st century."
