Cyclone Power Technologies Licenses Software to Expedite Development of Its Green Engine Technology

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Aug. 13, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Cyclone Power Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CYPW) announced today that it has acquired a license for SolidWorks(r) 3D CAD software for use in the design of its Green Revolution Engine(tm).

Cyclone expects the software will help expedite the development cycle of its revolutionary technology, thereby getting engines to the commercial market sooner. SolidWorks software is proven across a broad range of industries for just that purpose -- allowing product designers and manufacturers to get quality products to market faster and at a lower cost.

"Having the ability to create 3D model design in a much shorter period of time will allow us to move ahead at an accelerated rate, saving us valuable time and money," said Cyclone's Chief Design Engineer, Michael Hodgson, who recently completed productivity enhancement training for the software.

Using SolidWorks software, designers can quickly check out various tolerance schemes to ensure that their designs will fit and function properly, coupled with a complete motion simulation and kinematics package, with validation tools to simulate real-world conditions. SolidWorks software is used by many technology and research companies such as Jet Propulsion Labs, General Electric and the U.S. Army Research Lab.

"It's gratifying to learn that engineers are relying on SolidWorks software to design environmentally friendly products," said Rainer Gawlick, vice president of worldwide marketing at SolidWorks Corporation. "Cyclone Power Technologies is a company we're thrilled to support as they use their engineering ingenuity to design great products that help solve global issues."

About Cyclone

Cyclone holds the U.S. patent, international patent applications, and exclusive commercial rights to the Green Revolution Engine(tm), an environmentally-friendly and highly-efficient external combustion, heat-regenerative engine. Developed Cyclone's President and CEO, Harry Schoell, the Green Revolution Engine regenerates (or recycles) its heat, which allows it to run cleaner, cooler and more efficiently than traditional internal combustion engines. It is capable of running on any liquid or gaseous fuel, including ethanol and propane, and is lubricated with de-ionized water instead of motor oil. By eliminating many subsystems like oil pumps, radiators, catalytic converters and fuel injectors, Cyclone's Green Revolution Engine is expected to cost less to manufacture, operate and maintain; however, it is highly scalable and sufficiently powerful for applications ranging from lawn equipment and small home generators, large stand alone generators, to cars, trucks, buses, RV's, boats and ships, as well as earth moving equipment and locomotives.
