Sky Detective Has a Solution to Combat Gangs With Its Patent Pending Gang Tracker Application

BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Gang area zoning involves the zoning of specific known and targeted gang areas. Sky Detective, Inc. has a Patent Pending for a GPS/CDMA assisted device that can be attached to individual gang members by order of the Court, as a condition of their probation or parole, which provides the gang member's location at all times. He or she would not be able to leave or enter designated areas (inclusion or exclusion zones) without alerting the Monitor for immediate action. Rival gang locations can be zoned as exclusion areas for the offender. This is a very real deterrent in preventing known gang members from becoming mobile in order to converge and engage in gang activities.

In addition to an ankle device worn by a gang member with a rubber strap containing a built-in fiber optic wire that immediately notifies the Monitor if the strap is tampered with in any way, Sky Detective can track the offender's vehicle's movement through the internet with set pre-determined inclusion and exclusion zones.

Sky Detective can "zone" known gang areas that notify the Monitor and/or parole supervisor and law enforcement agencies immediately by email, cell phone text, cell phone voice alert or fax if the offender has entered these locations, allowing law enforcement to take immediate action at precise locations. The offender's movement data, including violations of inclusion or exclusion zones, is stored for the review of the offender's conduct. This enables law enforcement to place the offender at the exact same place at the exact same time as a crime, such as a drive-by shooting, which has occurred without the need of a witness or informant.

Unlike typical GPS monitoring devices, Sky Detective's devices can locate in heavily obstructed environments, like buildings, tunnels, heavy foliage, between skyscrapers, or in large residences, and it is a stand-alone device that requires no other equipment to track offender's nationwide. With 0% false alerts, there are no wasted responses to the offender's location.
