ARI Hosts Fleet Management Workshop for Government, Utility and Educational Services


MT. LAUREL, N.J., Oct. 9, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Automotive Resources International (ARI(r)), a leading global fleet solutions provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, just completed a fleet management workshop for government, utility and educational services that included both industry peers and fleet experts as guest speakers.

The conference kicked off with Bill Van Amburg, Senior Vice President, CALSTART, Clay Okabayashi, Fleet Account Manager, Government & Utility, General Motors, Bob Sanseverino, National Accounts Manager for Commercial Sales, Ford Motor Company and Dave Bryant, Hybrid Sales Manager, Freightliner LLC, speaking on alternative fuels. This was followed by a discussion on fuel management with Bob Eckert, Vice President, Wright Express, and Jim Pederson, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Telapoint.

Additionally, the importance of DOT compliance was presented by Mark Catlin, National Account Executive, JJ Keller. Chris Shafer of Utilimarc and Sam Lee of the State of Utah communicated the latest in benchmarking and bottom line improvement, followed by a presentation of life cycle cost analyses by Jim Creighton, Vice President of Global Strategic Services, ARI. The workshop closed with an in-depth discussion of web-based business intelligence systems and cutting-edge garage system solutions.

Creighton noted, "This workshop allowed fleet professionals the opportunity to interact with their peers and discuss similar fleet experiences, and it reinforced the partnership approach between ARI and its specialized customers."

Conducted in Bakersfield, CA, this was ARI's second specialized government, utility and educational services conference for 2008. The 2009 conference schedule is in review.
