Glendale Adventist Medical Center Debuts "HealthLine" TV Series On Cable and Online

Show Hosts Gregory Zarian and Susanne Whatley Will Bring Current Health News to the Community Through Exciting Show Format

GLENDALE, Calif., Aug. 24, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- "HealthLine," an hour-long weekly television program, will premiere on Charter Cable Channel 280 in Glendale and online at www.GlendaleAdventist.com/healthline on August 25. The program will include timely health stories as well as important topics like Emergent Care, Wellness, Recovery and Progression of Disease. The show will also incorporate general health questions from the community.

"We want you to be the healthiest you can be," says Morre Dean, Glendale Adventist Medical Center's president/CEO. "That is why we've created 'HealthLine,' a new television and online show that uses a fun and engaging format to provide our community with information on how they can improve their health."

This innovative television series will provide viewers with information they can use as they face a variety of health issues, helping them to better understand and enhance their wellbeing. Hosts for the program are Susanne Whatley, KFWB reporter and La Canada/Flintridge resident and Gregory Zarian, a Glendale-born entertainment industry mainstay. Whatley and Zarian will cover the latest in health news, with relevant interviews as well as remote segments taped in the community.

The show will address issues that many people face, such as: who takes care of you or a loved one after an ER visit if you don't already have a primary care doctor? If you need to go to the ER, should you have someone drive you or should you use an ambulance? What is the difference between Urgent Care clinics and a hospital emergency room?

Being able to find the answer on TV or online will give people additional support.

Tune in to HealthLine -- Tuesdays 7-8 p.m. on Channel 280 beginning August 25, 2009.
