B2B Publisher Crosses 900,000 Subscribers, Increases Revenue


WASHINGTON, Nov. 3, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FierceMarkets (http://www.fiercemarkets.com), a Questex Media Group company, reported continued record growth at the end of Q3, continuing to succeed in an economy that has been proven to be challenging for many B2B publishers.

"In the first three quarters of 2009, Fierce has posted record-breaking months on a number of fronts. Our circulation is up 25% and we just crossed the 900,000 subscriber mark. Web traffic is up 45% and we're seeing double-digit growth in our revenue year-over-year," said FierceMarkets President Sean Griffey. "We've also hired nine new staff members across all departments and are moving into new office space in November. Fierce is continuing to push full-steam ahead with our plans to aggressively grow the business despite the economic environment."

In 2009, Fierce has launched five new publications in the healthcare, life sciences, and government verticals. FierceMobileHealthcare, FierceEMR, FierceBiotechIT, FiercePharma Manufacturing, and FierceGovernmentIT hit their respective markets earlier this year and are already seeing steady growth. All five publications are on track to cross the 10,000 subscriber mark this year.

In addition to new publications, Fierce has expanded its core product offerings in 2009. A back-end lead generation platform has been developed and deployed to assist B2B marketers with generating targeted leads for their marketing campaigns. The organization has also increased its capacity for custom publishing and is now serving up custom products to clients across all vertical groups. An eBook product was rolled out in the telecom group and the healthcare and life science verticals each have plans to release one in Q4.
