WESTWOOD, Mass., Dec. 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Acumentrics Corporation, an industry leader in Rugged Uninterruptible Power Supplies (Rugged UPS(TM)) for mission critical military and industrial applications, introduced the newest addition to the product line of Rugged UPS at the MILCOM 2009 show in Boston, MA: A '1U' (1.75") high, Rugged UPS that provides 625VA (500 Watts) of power and weighs only 42 lbs.
The ACB625R-36B, with its user-replaceable battery providing 15 minutes of backup power at full load (500 Watts), is in direct response to customer demand for smaller and lighter units that increase available rack space required to meet an expanding electronic equipment demand. Accepting a wide range of input power (80-265 VAC, 47-63Hz), this compact Rugged UPS can be deployed worldwide and will accept both conventional and generator power. Utilizing Acumentrics' flow-through heat sink design, this new product protects internal components from dirt, debris, rain, humidity and other potential contaminants as required by Mil-Std 810F.
