FierceMarkets Announces Acquisition of New Senior Talent


WASHINGTON, Nov. 17, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FierceMarkets (http://www.fiercemarkets.com) announced today that it will welcome two senior-level executives to its leadership team as part of the company's continued growth as a leader in B2B e-media.

Jack Fordi will assume the role of Vice President of Sales & Business Development and Sabrina Ican will join FierceMarkets as Vice President of Audience Marketing.

Jack Fordi brings more than 15 years of executive sales leadership experience in both traditional and interactive media to his role at FierceMarkets. Most recently, Fordi was Senior Vice President of Sales for DDC Advocacy, where he led the business development and sales support teams. Prior to that, he spent seven years as Vice President of Sales and Sales Ops for SmartBrief, Inc., an online media firm providing vertical news services to 3 million+ individual business readers with 1200+ advertisers. In his new role, Fordi will focus on the expansion of the sales department's infrastructure, driving revenue growth, and improving the overall quality of service delivered to B2B marketers in Fierce's targeted industry verticals.

Prior to joining the team at FierceMarkets, Ican served in key roles in marketing over 13 years at Strayer University, most recently as Director of Marketing Services, helping grow the institution from 10,000 students and 10 campuses to more than 50,000 students and 90 campuses. Her expertise in online lead generation, traditional media, social media, direct response and outreach will be critical to her success at Fierce. As Vice President of Audience Marketing, Ican will be charged with continuing to expand the company's capabilities as lead-generation experts by spearheading efforts to increase newsletter circulation, boost Web traffic, and nurture deeper audience engagement.
