Photo Release -- EHE International Features 2012 Red Dress Campaign to Highlight Heart Health Awareness Month

NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The women of EHE International, the leader in preventive healthcare since 1913, are at it again in their red dresses to raise awareness for heart disease. This year, the ladies in red are joined for the first time by the men of EHE International to bring attention to National Wear Red Day. The group comes together for the ninth consecutive year to shed light on the number one killer of Americans: heart disease.

The fashionable red attire of the employees symbolizes the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. This year's photo captures the beauty of a range of people promoting the cause in the elegant New York Palace Hotel. The setting complements the glamour of EHE International employees as they gather to highlight the importance of proper care for their hearts.

"With one in every three deaths being caused by heart disease, it was important to add men into the equation," said Deborah McKeever, president of EHE International, of this year's Red Dress campaign. "Wearing a red dress or red tie is a powerful first step that men and women can take to show they are taking responsibility for their heart health." McKeever said that EHE International encourages all its employees regardless of gender to celebrate the campaign by wearing an item of red clothing on February 3rd.

February 3 is National Wear Red Day®. This day promotes the Red Dress symbol and provides an opportunity for everyone to unite in a life-saving awareness movement by showing off a favorite red dress, shirt, or tie.

A window display featuring the official 2012 EHE International Red Dress photograph and other National Wear Red Day features will be located at 10 Rockefeller Center in New York City throughout the month of February.

In addition to the photo, EHE International provides heart screenings and health checkups. EHE is the only company in the United States to offer this comprehensive service to their staff.
