Integra Telecom Awards Two Phoenix Area Non-Profits Free Internet Service for a Year

Selects Dress for Success and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; Launches Phoenix Community Connection Campaign

PHOENIX, May 21, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integra Telecom Inc., a provider of fiber-based, business-grade networking, communications and cloud solutions, has awarded Dress for Success and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation free Internet service for a year through its Community Connection campaign.

The Phoenix Community Connection campaign is part of Integra Telecom's Community Matters program, which supports initiatives and organizations that benefit the lives of people in the communities that Integra serves. Its focus areas are:

  • Youth – health, education and the well being of the youth in the community.

  • Health – wellness, safety and the eradication of disease.

  • Community – improving the stability and quality of life in the community, particularly among low-to-moderate income individuals.

"Integra is proud to be a part of the Phoenix community, and we are committed to giving back however possible," said Jim Bascom, enterprise sales director at Integra Telecom. "Both Dress for Success and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation are well respected and charitable organizations in this region, and we couldn't be happier to take care of their Internet needs for a year."

Area business and residents were encouraged to nominate their favorite non-profit for a chance to win free Internet service. The top 10 organizations with the most nominations were then entered into a random drawing from which Dress for Success and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation were randomly selected during an open house event hosted by Integra on May 17.
