ADEA/Zimmer Dental Implant Education Teaching Award Presented at 2013 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition


SEATTLE, March 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The ADEA/Zimmer Dental Implant Education Teaching Award was presented to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry during the 2013 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, being held March 16-19, in Seattle.

The ADEA/Zimmer Dental Implant Education Teaching Award recognizes an institution and dental educator team that has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of implant dentistry education. Education and instruction in the field may occur in a variety of settings, including classroom or laboratory environments, clinical teaching or preceptorships, community-based instructional opportunities, or electronically mediated teaching and learning experiences.

The award, given once every two years, is divided equally between the winning institution and the dental educator team. Dincer Gurun, D.M.D, D.D.S., Clinical Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry, accepted the award on behalf of the school.
