ADEA Presents 2013 ADEA/Sigma Phi Alpha Linda DeVore Scholarship


SEATTLE, March 22, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 2013 The ADEA/Sigma Phi Alpha Linda DeVore Scholarship was presented to Sarah A. Moeller, of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, during the 2013 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition held March 16-19, in Seattle.

"ADEA is proud to present this award to Professor Moeller and wishes her the best in her pursuits," says ADEA President Gerald N. Glickman, D.D.S., M.S., M.B.A., J.D. "With the support of Sigma Phi Alpha, ADEA is able to honor the achievements of Professor DeVore, in whose name the award is given.

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a person pursuing allied dental education study at the baccalaureate, master's, or doctoral degree level. It recognizes the memory of the 30-year dental education career of Linda Rubinstein DeVore. Prof. DeVore was active in dental hygiene education, scholarship, and public service. She served as President of the American Association of Dental Schools (now ADEA) in 1994, and as President of the Supreme Chapter of Sigma Phi Alpha, the national honorary society of the dental hygiene profession, from 1997 to 1998.
