VDC's Aydin Visual Solutions Awarded the Display Business for a Major International Broadcast Project in New York City


ATLANTA, April 1, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Video Display Corporation (Nasdaq:VIDE), a worldwide leader in providing specialized display solutions for Broadcast, Control Rooms, Industrial, Simulation and Military applications is pleased to announce the receipt by its Aydin Visual Systems division (AVS) of a $1,000,000+ purchase order from an International TV network for the display systems to be utilized its new broadcast studio in NYC. This project includes eyevis 45 DLP/LED rear projection cubes with matrix shading, auto-color tracking and custom black bead screens to meet the demanding needs of live video production environments. These robust display solutions allow for exceptional color and contrast, as well as low cost of ownership with reliable 24 X 7 operation. This award is the second major win in the last several months in the high profile international broadcast market and solidifies AVS's position for continued success in Broadcast and other mission critical markets.
