Mobilitie Named Official DAS Provider of Honda Center

The New Network Brings High-Speed Wireless Coverage to Fans

ANAHEIM, Calif., July 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Anaheim Arena Management, LLC, the management company for Honda Center, announced today that Mobilitie, LLC, a leading provider of wireless infrastructure in the U.S., will be the official Distributed Antenna System (DAS) provider of the venue.

Mobilitie, LLC is currently installing a new high-speed DAS at Honda Center that will provide enhanced wireless connectivity to fans attending Anaheim Ducks games and the wide array of concerts and events hosted at the venue each year.

"We are continually working to provide the best fan experience possible at Honda Center and this partnership with Mobilitie is an extension of that," said Tim Ryan, President and CEO of Honda Center. "Even when the arena is at maximum capacity, the addition of Mobilitie will allow our guests to utilize their smartphones and other mobile devices quickly and efficiently."

The new Mobilitie DAS will significantly improve wireless coverage, capacity and data speeds during peak times at Honda Center through a series of wireless antennas installed at locations in the arena bowl, concourses and all premium seating areas and suites.

According to Christos Karmis, President of Mobilitie, "We are looking forward to bringing the latest 4G wireless technology to Honda Center, enabling the finest wireless experience to fans during Anaheim Ducks games, concerts and other events. Our neutral-host DAS networks are utilized by all wireless carriers to provide increased wireless connectivity during highly attended events so people can stay connected and successfully run high bandwidth applications. Mobilitie is excited about its partnership with Honda Center to operate the DAS network at their venue." Mobilitie owns and operates DAS and other wireless infrastructure at multiple professional sports stadiums across the country.

The Mobilitie DAS network will be complete in time for the start of the 2013 hockey season. In addition to ensuring voice calls are successfully connected, the DAS will allow smart phones, tablets and other devices to access the Internet and run interactive applications including the Anaheim Ducks Mobile App and the Honda Center mobile website. The Ducks Mobile App includes features such as live game updates and exclusive video content and with the Honda Center mobile site fans can locate concessions or purchase tickets for an upcoming event.
