America's Hometown Burger Joint Serves Up Nationwide Burger Eating Contests on Facebook and Instagram


CHESHIRE, Conn., Sept. 3, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jake's Wayback Burgers, with over 70 locations, today announces starting Monday, September 2 – Saturday, September 14, it will host its Triple Triple Burger Eating Contest on Facebook and Instagram. In conjunction, on Saturday, September 14, Jake's Wayback Burgers will host its 6th National Hamburger Eating Contest nationwide. The Triple Triple Burger is Jake's Wayback Burgers novelty menu item – a nine-patty burger with nine slices of American cheese, topped with lettuce and tomato.

In addition, the Triple Triple Burger Eating Contest will be hosted on Facebook, where contestants will have the opportunity to upload their most creative videos eating the Triple Triple Burger to Jake's Wayback Burgers Facebook pages from their Instagram account. Contestants can use the hashtag #TripleTripleContest and #WaybackBurgers when posting their videos on Instagram. The winner with the most votes on Facebook will win a MacBook Air. Jake's Franchising LLC partnered with tech company Engage121 Inc., based out of Norwalk, Connecticut to facilitate the Facebook and Instagram application, as well as create the platforms for the promotion.

On Saturday, September 14, Jake's Wayback Burgers will host its National Hamburger Eating Contest all day, in which the contestant has to eat the Triple Triple in the fastest time. The winner of the fastest time nationwide will win $3,330.00.

Lastly, both winners will be announced on Jake's Wayback Burgers social media platforms on Wednesday, September 18, which is National Cheeseburger Day.
