Enbridge Rail Development Director to Address Hart Energy's "Crude In Motion" Conference Delegates

HOUSTON, TEXAS, Sept. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hart Energy announced today that Steve Elliott, Director of Rail Business Development for transportation giant Enbridge Pipelines Inc., will address the inaugural Crude In Motion conference on Wednesday, October 30, 2014, at the Omni Hotel in Houston.

The one-day Crude In Motion event brings producers and refiners together with executives in the midstream sector of the oil industry at a time when significant investments in crude-by-rail shipments are boosting production incentives and trimming refinery costs across North America.

As director of the Enbridge rail business development team, Steve Elliott is accountable for ensuring continued growth of the pipeline operator's crude-by-rail infrastructure. Elliott joined Enbridge in 2006 and previously headed business development for Enbridge's Eastern Canada Refinery Access Initiative.  That effort significantly increased oil takeaway from Western Canada and North Dakota and boosted supply to refiners in Toledo, Detroit, Montreal and Indiana.

The Oct. 30 Crude In Motion conference hosts in-depth discussions of rapidly growing crude-by-rail capabilities, including new short-line connections in the Eagle Ford play, as well as the financial aspects of multi-modal crude transport options.  Other speakers at the conference include:

  • Mike Howard, CEO, Howard Energy Partners
  • Evan Calio, Managing Director, Morgan Stanley
  • Steve Broker, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Rangeland Energy
  • Arthur J. "A.J." Brass, President, Isis Energy and GCAC Trading
  • Cole Stanley, Vice President, Crude Oil Services, Meritage Midstream
  • Ryan Fischer, Assistant Vice President, Emerging Markets, Genesee & Wyoming Railroad Services, Inc.
