Christians United for Israel to Hold 9th Annual Washington Summit

WASHINGTON, May 12, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation's largest pro-Israel organization, will hold its ninth annual Washington Summit on July 21-22 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

This year's Summit will feature a host of leading experts, religious leaders and political figures including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (live via satellite), former Deputy National Security Advisor Elliot Abrams, President of American Values Gary Bauer, Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN), Israel's Ambassador to the United States Ron Dermer, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Dr. Charles Krauthammer, Weekly Standard editor William Kristol, nationally syndicated radio host Dennis Prager, Christian Broadcast Network correspondent and host Erick Stakelbeck, Wall Street Journal columnist Brett Stephens, and former CIA director James Woolsey.

"The CUFI Summit will begin just as the six-months of the interim nuclear agreement with Iran are coming to a close. What follows that agreement will have dramatic consequences for the US, Israel and the entire free world. I can think of no more important moment for people of faith to come to Washington and ensure their voices are heard," said Pastor John Hagee, founder and National Chairman of CUFI.

Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.

CUFI's mission is to provide a national association through which every pro-Israel church, parachurch organization, ministry or individual in America can speak and act with one voice in support of Israel.
