BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Noble Awards, an event honoring the entertainment industry's philanthropic work, returns to the Beverly Hilton on Friday, February 27th, 2015.

Confirmed celebrities include Rosario Dawson for her work on human rights, Gary Sinise for various Veterans' organizations, Nikki Reed for animal advocacy with ISF and Wildlife Waystation, producers from Showtime's YEARS OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY for environmentalism, David Arquette for his work to eradicate poverty with Feeding America (to be presented by siblings Patricia Arquette, Alexis Arquette and Richmond Arquette), former New Orleans Saints safety Steve Gleason for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Jonathan Murray of Bunim/Murray Productions for youth-focused education on behalf of The Television Academy Foundation, Michelle Rodriguez & Tyrese Gibson will host a special tribute to Paul Walker on behalf of his foundation, ROWW.

"The Noble Awards is completely different than the traditional Los Angeles award show. Other shows honor what celebrities do on-screen or on-stage, we shine the spotlight on what really matters in life, their work for their fellow men and women," says the show's creator Janeen Mansour. "We recognize the real work of the entertainment industry's leaders. How they give back to the world should be even more valued than anything else they do. That is the spirit of The Noble Awards and we are honored to be in the company of so many incredible organizations and humanitarians this year."

Award categories include Activism in Film, Music and Sports, amongst others. The event will feature physical Noble Award trophies created by the kids of Children's Hospital Los Angeles' internal program that advocates for healing through art. The young designers will attend the event to co-present to celebrity recipients. Footage of the children designing the awards with Rodriguez and Arquette can be found here.

Previous Noble Award winners include Morgan Freeman, Brett Ratner, Joel Madden, Norman Lear, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and AnnaLynne McCord.
