Military Order of the Purple Heart Announces Scholarship Program Extension

New Support for Educational Scholarships for Purple Heart Recipients and Their Families


Washington, D.C., June 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) today announced new support for the MOPH Scholarship Program with a celebratory event honoring this year’s scholarship recipients.  

 For the past decade, the MOPH Scholarship Program has awarded scholarships for undergraduate and trade school education to Purple Heart recipients, their spouses and their direct lineal descendants, including step-children and adopted children. To date, MOPH Scholarships have provided over $2.5 million in critical support toward the educational endeavors of eligible applicants.

Through a special advertising program with CBS Radio Washington, D.C. and CBS EcoMedia, new funding from the Purple Heart Foundation will sustain fifteen to eighteen MOPH scholarships to be distributed over the next five years.
