The American Health Council Physician Board Welcomes Dr. Stephanie Sargent


NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Stephanie Sargent, Associate Medical Director at VITAS Healthcare in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has been elected by the American Health Council to join their Board of Physicians, recognizing the best in American healthcare. With 12 years in the industry, Dr. Sargent brings to the AHC Board-certified expertise in Medicine and Internal Medicine. 

Graduating in 1998 with a BS from The College of William and Mary, and later with her DO in 2002 from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Sargent became involved in her current profession due to her love for anatomy and human biology as a Biology major at William and Mary. 

At VITAS Healthcare, Dr. Sargent engages in day to day routines, including patient care and presentations, educating case managers and facility nurses within institutions. 

Dr. Sargent has been garnered with the VITAS Best Physician Award in 2016, and is professionally associated with Sigma Sigma Phi (National Honorary Osteopathic Fraternity), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the Kennedy Health System Credentials Committee, and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. 

Attributing her success to growth and the ability to be flexible within her career, Dr. Sargent’s professional goals within the next 5 years include completing her Medical Directorship for Hospice Certification, as well as continuing to educate residents, physicians, case managers and nurses.

In her spare time, Dr. Sargent enjoys spending time with family, supporting her children’s sports activities, reading, and swimming.
