Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters Local 252 Council Representative Kevin Brown Appointed Chairman of Land Development on Burlington County Planning Board

EDISON, N.J., March 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters (NRCC) is pleased to announce that Local 252 Council Representative Kevin Brown has been appointed as the Chairman of Land Development on the Burlington County, NJ Planning Board.

Brown, a 29-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, has been a member of the Burlington County Planning Board for the last eight years. The Planning Board is tasked with reviewing applications for Burlington County buildings built along county roadways to ensure the safety of the public.

“Getting applications at this stage of the planning process allows us to get involved with the project before it’s even built,” said Brown. “We then have the opportunity to reach out to developers and owners to start a dialogue.”

Brown, who is also a 11-year NRCC Council Representative and a Local 252 Financial Secretary, said he believes his new appointment will be beneficial to ensuring that projects in Burlington County are built safely by reputable construction contractors.

“It’s so important for our carpenters to be involved in the local government and their communities, so they can make a difference and impact positive change,” said Brown. “I’ve served on the Burlington County Planning Board for the past eight years and have been pleased to be involved in the review of many different important projects in the County. I look forward to serving in this new role as chairman of land development.”
