KEMP, Texas, May 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hal Richards, candidate for Kaufman County judge, received the endorsement of D.J. Ory, current mayor of Terrell. In a letter addressed to Terrell voters, and a video edited and distributed by Larson Electronics LLC, Mr. Ory announced his support for Richards.
“Hal Richards is a budget hawk that holds government accountable through tough questions and uncomfortable conversations. I would know,” said Mayor Ory in a letter to Terrell voters. “I served with him when he was mayor of Terrell and directly observed his attention to detail and proven leadership to make difficult decisions. He serves as an example that I follow today.”
D.J. Ory has served as the mayor of Terrell since 2016 and understands the demands larger-scope government positions place on decision makers. In working closely with Hal Richards, Mayor Ory has developed a keen sense of how Richards’ will perform as Kaufman County judge.
“As a county leader I think it’s important to be responsive to those needs and to understand what those needs are and determine what the best plan of action is to satisfy those needs,” said Mayor Ory. “We have worked together for many years, and I know that [he’ll] apply that leadership and decision making to the County of Kaufman.”
