Northrop Grumman Receives Follow-On SPAWAR Contract

McLEAN, Va., April 19, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Litton PRC, a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC), has won the U.S. Navy's Tactical Program III (NTP III) contract from the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) System Center San Diego, C4I Office in Philadelphia. This cost-plus, fixed-fee contract has one base year with four option years. Initial tasking is for more than $7 million with a total potential value of $37 million.

This contract, part of a 20-year Litton PRC legacy with the SPAWAR organization, reflects a significant increase in scope from previous C4I contracts. The new work will include support to the Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center, Dam Neck, Va., and the Navy's Fleet Intelligence Training Center-Pacific, San Diego, Calif.

The C4I office is responsible for program management, integrated logistics support and in-service engineering for a variety of mission planning, electronic photographic processing and imagery systems.

"As these systems grow increasingly complex, strong technical engineering skills and an in-depth understanding of the SPAWAR mission become even more critical," said Bill Webb, division president for Litton PRC's Maritime and Range Systems. "Our team has been singularly focused on this client's needs for over a decade."
