Electrowatt-Ekono (Thailand) Ltd., which is part of Jaakko Pöyry Group's Energy business group, has together with its partner Siemens AG been awarded an EPC contract by PRG Granary Co., Ltd. to construct a 9.24 MW biofuel cogeneration plant in the Pathumthani province, Thailand. The date for takeover is in September, 2002. The contract value for Electrowatt-Ekono amounts to approximately EUR 3 million.
Electrowatt-Ekono (Thailand) is responsible for providing the overall project management, power island technical integration, design and procurement of the balance of plant, site supervision, erection, testing and commissioning of all equipment and the complete plant.
Electrowatt-Ekono is the trade name of Jaakko Pöyry Group's Energy business group. Jaakko Pöyry Group's net sales were EUR 475 million in 2000 and the company employs some 4 600 people worldwide.
