Nokia and Internet Security Systems Offer Special Promotion Bundle of Intrusion Protection and Management for Remote and Branch Offices

Mountain View, CA and Atlanta, GA - (April 30, 2002) - Nokia (NYSE: NOK) and Internet Security Systems (ISS) (Nasdaq: ISSX) today announced special bundled pricing of the entry-level RealSecure for Nokia IP120 security appliance, for customers in the U.S. and Canada that require cost-effective solutions with complete remote manageability. At the special bundled price of $7,995 U.S. MSRP, RealSecure for Nokia IP120 is a particularly attractive solution for small, medium and enterprise branch office applications because of its ease-of-installation and remote management capabilities with RealSecure SiteProtector and Nokia Network Voyager. RealSecure for Nokia IP120 combines ISS' award-winning intrusion detection solution with Nokia's hardened operating system and purpose built platform.

"Many corporate security initiatives include the implementation of intrusion detection systems throughout the network," said Dan MacDonald, Vice President, Product Management, Nokia Internet Communications. "Customers soon realize that while implementing IDS systems in remote offices is critical to achieving robust security, traditional approaches are not feasible due to complex integration and virtually no remote management capabilities. We developed RealSecure for Nokia IP120 to enable our customers to rapidly deploy and remotely manage best-of-breed IDS technology."

The RealSecure for Nokia IP120 bundled solution is pre-configured with software, hardware and full management capabilities for onsite or remote deployment in minutes, significantly reducing administration costs and IT resources. Because of its remote manageability, the Nokia IP120 is particularly appropriate for distributed enterprises, with little or no IT support onsite at remote or branch offices. Intrusion detection solutions are widely deployed in the internal network of an enterprise, but with the continued increase in different kinds of threats, companies need to add layers of protection to the weakest links in their network - remote and branch offices.

"The IP120 security platform is an excellent extension to the RealSecure for Nokia product line," said Steve Gant, Vice President, Solutions Management and Business Development, Internet Security Systems. "Now small, medium and enterprise branch office locations can extend their security solutions, effectively monitoring intrusion detection with peace of mind."

The Nokia IP120 is ideal for enterprise customers who require a complete, scalable IDS solution for remote office or branch site locations on 10 Mbps segments where manageability is critical. Service Providers will also benefit by deploying the Nokia IP120, because it enables them to extend their product offering to small businesses with this entry-level IDS solution.

RealSecure for Nokia reseller Jeff Bennett, CEO of SiegeWorks, says, "We are enthusiastic about this bundled solution. It allows us to extend our current RealSecure for Nokia product to provide our customers the entry-level solution they need to ensure their remote offices are connecting to the central network securely. With the bonus of the bundled pricing, the RealSecure for Nokia IP120 is a value-add for any secure enterprise extension."

The RealSecure for Nokia IP120 provides IDS perimeter protection, including not just branch and satellite offices, but security that extends to partners, suppliers and customers. RealSecure SiteProtector unifies the management of network sensors under a single system to provide better security and reduce the costs associated with intrusion detection and vulnerability assessment products. With Nokia Horizon Manager, a compatible systems management tool, customers can perform back up and restore of the intrusion detection appliances from the corporate headquarters.

As a special offer, the RealSecure for Nokia IP120 bundled solution will be available May 1, 2002 in the U.S. and Canada through GE Access and Westcon, U.S. MSRP of $7,995 plus software maintenance which is required but sold separately.
