COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX), the world leader in Fibre Channel host bus adapters and embedded storage switches, today announced that its LightPulse family of HBAs has achieved certification from Red Flag, Asia's leading supplier of Linux operating system software. Emulex Fibre Channel HBAs are certified for use with both 32-bit and 64-bit Red Flag Itanium 2 Linux operating systems and this qualification reinforces Emulex's commitment to Linux, as the company is now certified by the largest Linux distribution in Asia.
