EMS Technologies and PUTIAN-LINKCOM to Provide DVB-RCS Products and Services in China


MONTREAL, March 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELMG) announced today that it has signed an agreement with PUTIAN-LINKCOM to provide DVB-RCS products and services in China.

EMS and PUTIAN-LINKCOM perceive a growing demand for satellite broadband services in China, and this agreement provides an exclusive, long-term agreement between the companies to address this market. In addition, the agreement covers:



 --  Installation of a DVB-RCS hub in Beijing, providing domestic
     coverage across China for demonstration purposes.

 --  Development, manufacturing and sourcing of local components for
     DVB-RCS systems

 --  Development and validation of applications for the Chinese market

 --  Local support, repair and maintenance of DVB-RCS systems

EMS has undertaken a multi-month effort to expand its presence in the global market. This effort began last year with the addition of key resources in the European market, and is continuing this year with this announcement concerning China. EMS expects to make further announcements in the coming months with regards to additional relationships and arrangements in other strategically important regions.
