The range includes highly optimized rack servers in 1U, 2U, 3U and 4U (also pedestal convertible). Boston Limited is the first vendor to market products available as building block solutions with rack server optimization built in from the original design. Cooling, management, component placement and server management have all been key factors in the development of the range.
These are certainly the best-in-class with existing processor technology from AMD but are also ready to take the next generation Dual-Core products which were announced earlier today (21-APRIL-2005). Having both Intel and AMD platforms in Boston's portfolio offers an excellent variety and choice to customers irrespective of their market segment.

The Boston platforms allow the use of either single core or Dual-Core processors, making migration easy and reducing the total cost of ownership because of this flexible approach. In addition to solutions that are of interest to the corporate and general markets, Boston has also created platforms specifically targeted at the cost-conscious High Performance Computing market. Nayee states, "We have not compromised on quality, but merely recognize that HPC users don't generally need all the bells and whistles, as they see them, that are imperative for the corporate end-user. So we have been able to remove expansion slots and hot-swap drive bays to meet the specification and budgets of the vast majority of HPC clients."
