He replaces Doug Williams, who becomes Chairman of the Board. Kulczycki will be based in the company's Seattle, Washington, headquarters.

Kulczycki spent the last seventeen years with Patagonia in a variety of management roles. During the last seven years, he was vice president of business development at Patagonia International, responsible for Patagonia Europe, Patagonia Japan, Patagonia International, Beneficial T's, Lotus Designs, and Water Girl USA. He was also involved in new business acquisitions.
