AMREL Unveils the First Zero-Volt @ 120Adc Electronic Load at the Hannover Fair 2007

HANNOVER, GERMANY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 17, 2007 -- AMREL/AMERICAN RELIANCE releases the industry's FIRST Zero-Volt eLoad Programmable Electronic Load (ZVL) to operate at 0 volts and draw 120A in a 4U half or 3/4 rack bench-top form factor. AMREL's Zero-Volt eLoad (ZVL) is available in 100W, 200W, and 300W models. The Zero-Volt eLoad offers end-users the flexibility to fit their applications by selecting from Voltage and Current Ratings of 10~150V and 0~120A within 100W, 200W, and 300W power levels. Designed specifically to address the needs for ultra-low voltages at high currents for single cell fuel cell testing, ultra-low voltage energy storage/battery testing, power electronics component testing, dc-dc converter/POL testing and 0-volt load applications, AMREL once again demonstrates their commitment to providing "Customer-Driven" solutions to a dynamic market.

AMREL's Zero-Volt eLoad's 0~10Vdc analog programming, external 0~10Vdc Imon (current monitor) and Vmon (voltage monitor) signals, and Remote Sensing, provide flexibility in static/dynamic fuel cell/battery testing. In addition, the Zero-Volt eLoad can be easily connected to AMREL's Frequency Response Analyzer (FRA) to provide an effective, low cost solution for impedance measurement applications.

AMREL's feature-packed ZVL offers CV/CC/CR/CP/Pulse operating modes, two Full-scale ranges, standard Co-resident GPIB IEEE-488.2/SCPI & RS-232 interface connectivity, and OV/UV/OC/UC/OP/UP programmable protection. Automated testing and remote programming is achieved via LabVIEW & LabWindows drivers. To avoid downtime and costly calibration expenses, the ZVL can be easily calibrated in a matter of minutes via closed-case calibration.

AMREL/AMERICAN RELIANCE, INC. is committed to the design, development, and manufacture of high-quality programmable power supplies and electronic loads for industrial and military ATE markets. AMERICAN RELIANCE accommodates individual customer needs by offering one of the market's widest selections of programmable power products available, as well as providing custom design modifications.
