Capio Diagnostics chooses digital mammography systems from Sectra: Women in
Stockholm offered mammography with unmatched lowest radiation dose

The IT and medical-technology company Sectra has signed a framework agreement
covering digitization of Capio Diagnostics' mammography operations. In
conjunction with the agreement, Capio placed an initial order for six
mammography systems to hospitals in Sweden.

Capio Diagnostics is one of the leading providers of laboratory- and radiology
services in Europe. Sectra's total solution for mammography will be installed at
two mammography clinics in Stockholm.

“This is our largest order to date for mammography systems. Capio Diagnostics is
an excellent example that an increasing number of mammography clinics are
choosing to invest in the latest technology and thereby safeguarding women's
health with mammography examinations with the lowest dose,” says Marie Ekström,
President of Sectra Scandinavia. “The order confirms that we meet Capio
Diagnostics' very high demands for care quality and productivity.”

Capio Diagnostics is already using Sectra's IT system for processing and
archiving of radiology images and patient data. Through this new agreement,
Capio Diagnostic is extending the use of these systems to 2011 and is also
expanding the use to mammography examinations.

Safe and ergonomic mammography
With retained or improved image quality, Sectra's mammography system, Sectra
MicroDose Mammography, has the decidedly lowest radiation dose of all systems on
the market. As a result of the low dose, combined with outstanding ergonomics
and customized workflow, mammography nurses and radiologists can work more
efficiently and safely. At the same time, women are exposed to the absolutely
lowest conceivable radiation.

“Our guiding principle is to provide the best possible care and treatment based
on the patient's needs. Since mammography involves radiating sensitive breast
tissue in healthy women, it is important that the radiation is as low as
possible. A major benefit with our new digital system from Sectra is that we can
offer women mammography at the lowest radiation dose,” says, Karin Leifland,
head of Capio Diagnostics' mammography operations in Sweden.
