Kesko's sales were up by 6.5% in June

Kesko's sales were up by 6.5% in June

The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in June 2007 totalled
€841.2 million, an increase of 6.5% over the corresponding period
of the previous year. In January-June, the sales, excluding VAT,
were €4,720.0 million, up 9.7% on the previous year. In January-
June, the sales of foreign operations were €1,002.8 million,
accounting for 21.2% of the Group's sales.

Kesko Food's sales increased by 3.0% in June. The number of
delivery days in wholesale in June was one less than last year.

Rautakesko's sales in June grew by 17.9% and were €241.6 million.
Sales in Finland were up by 15.1%. Abroad, sales increased by
19.6%. Sales growth in the Baltic countries was 27.9% and in
Russia 52.5%.

VV-Auto's sales in June were €68.0 million, which is down by 9.2%
on last year. In Finland, the number of first registrations of
passenger cars decreased by 22.0% in June. The market share of
passenger cars represented by VV-Auto was 14.3% (15.0%).

Anttila's sales in June were €38.9 million. The sales of Anttila's
Kodin Ykkönen department stores progressed well, up 11.7%. The
sales of the Anttila department stores dropped by 1.6% because the
City department store in Helsinki was closed down in January due
to the expiry of the lease agreement.

Kesko Agro's sales in June were €63.6 million, up 4.6%. Sales in
Finland decreased by 2.7%. The sales in the Baltic countries grew
by 17.4% thanks to the machinery trade.

Other operating activities consist of Konekesko, Intersport
Finland, Indoor Group, Musta Pörssi, WellStep, Tähti Optikko Group
and Kauko-Telko.

Starting from 1 March 2006, VV-Auto's sales figures include the
sales of the new Volkswagen and Audi retail outlets acquired.

Kesko Food is looking into opportunities to dispose of its HoReCa
wholesaling subsidiary, Kespro Ltd. Kespro will be classified as
discontinuing operations in compliance with the IFRS 5 when it
meets the criteria of the standard.

Kesko is looking into opportunities to dispose of Kauko-Telko.
Kauko-Telko will be classified as discontinuing operations in
compliance with the IFRS 5 when it meets the criteria of the
standard.

Change, % indicates the change over the corresponding period of
the previous year.

In June 2007, the number of trading days in Kesko's wholesale was
20, which was one less than in June 2006. The total number of
trading days in January-June was the same as in the previous year.

Kesko publishes advance information about the K-Group's retail
sales quarterly, in connection with the interim financial reports.
