Critical Power Solutions Demonstrates At Department of Defense Event

ASHBURN, Va., Aug. 28, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Critical Power Solutions International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CPWO) reports that the company demonstrated its alternative energy powered platforms at the 2007 Force Protection Equipment Demonstration VI (FPED VI) held August 14-16 at Stafford Regional Airport in Stafford, VA. The FPED event provides leaders and decision-makers from the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal departments and agencies, and state and local law enforcement agencies the opportunity to see the latest force protection equipment available on the market.

At the event, Critical Power Solutions exhibited with security system integrators, 4-D Security Solutions, Sentinel Security Warehouse and Motorola/Pro2Serve. The company frequently works with industry leading integrators to provide alternative energy solutions that support a broad range of security devices such as surveillance cameras, biochemical, radiation, ground radar, coupling with wireless network communication systems, and RFID.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Gallagher, "We are pleased that these high quality security integrators have chosen our unique alternative energy systems to power their security applications. At the demonstrations we received heavy interest from numerous departments of the federal government, including the Department of Energy, the Army, Homeland Security and other emergency response departments. In addition to government interest, we received a tremendous response from the private sector including significant interest from oil and gas exploration companies."

At the FPED event, Sentinel Security Warehouse, a provider of products and services that address security threats and disaster response, demonstrated their security/perimeter cameras with communications powered by Critical Power Solutions, and at a separate exhibition area the company's alternative energy solutions powered Motorola/Pro2serve's MotoMesh network. Additionally, in collaboration with 4D Security Solutions, Critical Power Solutions demonstrated ground radar with integrated long range security surveillance. 4D Security Solutions is a System Integrator providing end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland Security markets.

The 2007 Force Protection Equipment Demonstration (FPED VI) is where American industry and firms from around the world demonstrate their best available force protection equipment. FPED VI was the sixth edition of the event, which has been produced every two years since 1997. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at that time determined there was a need for heightened awareness of commercial off-the-shelf equipment and systems for continually evolving threats against U.S. personnel and interests.
