SWECO to plan 4 km tunnel in Norway

SWECO's consultants in Norway will prepare a construction plan for the E6
motorway through Gudbrandsdalen, including a four kilometre tunnel. This is the
first new tunnel project to be undertaken after the collapse of Norway's
Hanekleiv Tunnel last December. The assignment will be carried out on behalf of
the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and is worth approximately EUR 1.3
million.

With many years of experience in traffic planning, SWECO Grøner has established
wide-ranging expertise in tunnel planning and design.

”It is exciting to have been given responsibility for planning this road
section, with the long tunnel. We see it as further proof of our leading-edge
position in tunnel engineering,” says Snorre Laegran at SWECO Grøner.

During the year, SWECO Grøner has been part of an expert investigation of the
Hanekleiv Tunnel collapse on 25 December last year and has, among other things,
contributed its knowledge of tunnel safety and evacuation.

The total road section had a length of 14 km. The assignment is scheduled for
completion in the summer of 2008.
