JSC „Grindeks” signs a notice of intention about cooperation with Byelorussian pharmaceutical manufacturer

Today, 9th October during the third meeting of the Latvian-Byelorussian
Inter-Governmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation
a notice of intention was signed between JSC “Grindeks”, the leading
Byelorussian Pharmaceutical Company RUE “Borisov Medical Preparations Plant”
and Byelorussian State Production and Sales Holding of Pharmaceutical and
Microbiological Products „Belbiofarm” about the cooperation in the
implementation of the investment project “Building of new department for
production of finale dosage forms”. 

„I am satisfied with the today concluded notice of intention that foresees a
possible cooperation between Grindeks and the leading Byelorussian
pharmaceutical producer allowing to secure Grindeks positions in the markets of
Russia and other CIS countries in the future”, expressed Chairman of the Board
of JSC “Grindeks” Jānis Romanovskis. 

Representative office of Grindeks in Belarus is working since 2002. Sales
amount of the final dosage forms in this country increases every year, and
during the first 6 months of 2007 it comprised 5.7% of the total final dosage
forms sales amount.

specializing in the manufacturing of heart and cardiovascular medications; CNS
drugs and anti-cancer agents. Its concern consists of four subsidiary companies
in Latvia, Estonia and Russia and ten representative offices. Grindeks`
