The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- London, Jan 7, 2008 Eurovoltaic Plc (ISIN / GB00B27W8208) , a privately held UK alternative energy company, is happy to announce that it has entered into a mandate agreement with Deutsche Bank AG, London, to raise up to 200 million Euros of long term debt. The proceeds of the funding will be used to acquire 30 Megawatts of solar power stations in the Cordoba region of Spain as a first step to expand business to regions within Europe with sufficient average solar radiation. In addition to the long term notes, the Deutsche Bank Group will be providing paying agent and trustee services to Eurovoltaic plc. The due diligence process is underway, and we anticipate a formal closing by the end of Q1 2008. Drawdowns will take place during Q2 and Q3 2008. Eurovoltaic Plc currently owns a 2.8 MW solar farm near Griesheim, Germany. Once the Spanish installations are completed it plans to extend its solar portfolio into Italy and Greece.
