HiQ offered to conclude framework agreement with 80 government agencies in
Stockholm county

Verva, the Swedish Administrative Development Agency, has awarded a wide-ranging
framework agreement to HiQ covering 80 government agencies in Stockholm county.
The agreement is for a two-year period, with an option for further two years,
and covers IT consulting services in the categories systems development and
systems administration as well as infrastructure and assignment consulting
services. The agencies involved estimate the volume of assignments in these
three categories at about SEK 450 million.

“We are very pleased with the decision, and we will be accepting the offer.
Government agencies are an important and growing segment for HiQ. The projects
often involve development work in complex system environments that are
transaction- and information-intensive, which suits our experienced and highly
skilled consultants perfectly. The award of the contract is a strong vote of
confidence in HiQ, and it establishes a foundation for a continued strong
long-term partnership,” Bo Ringdahl, Managing Director of HiQ in Stockholm,
comments.

Verva, the Swedish Administrative Development Agency, makes a number of
procurements each year in a number of different areas. The procurement process
for IT consulting services was initiated in June 2007 and the results were
announced on 30 January.

“The framework agreement means a lot for HiQ and HiQ Stockholm, especially as
the segment represents a large volume of business for consulting providers in
the region. The assignments require both cutting-edge technology and modern
development methods as well as a close working relationship with the clients to
ensure that we meet our clients' requirements in the best way,” Bo Ringdahl
says.
Interest from potential providers has been unexpectedly high in all areas
covered by the procurement. The framework agreements cover deliveries to the
following organisations with registered head offices in the county of Stockholm:
52 State authorities, 19 local authorities, nine foundations and similar
organisations. The agreements are estimated to generate sales of SEK 740 million
per year during the terms of the agreements.

The framework agreements will be signed in February.
