EnergySolutions Receives $7 Million Washington Savannah River Company Contract

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - February 7, 2008) - EnergySolutions (NYSE : ES ) announced
today it has been awarded a $7 million contract by the Washington Savannah
River Company for work to be completed at the US Department of Energy
Savannah River Site in South Carolina. EnergySolutions was awarded the
contract because of the unique engineering and fabrication capabilities
required to execute the Savannah River Site Cementation Mixing System
Project.

business objectives to continue to be heavily involved in ongoing work at
major DOE facilities such as the Savannah River Site," added Creamer.
Work on this contract will begin immediately. EnergySolutions will provide
the necessary technology to solidify radioactive liquid waste with
cementitious material. EnergySolutions will provide four of the
technologies needed to complete the project.
EnergySolutions' relevant experience applicable to this project has
resulted from work in the United Kingdom, Canada and the U.S., including
extensive experience working with Department of Energy facilities and U.S.
nuclear power plants.
