Photo Release -- Brian Evans to Headline in Las Vegas

LOS ANGELES, March 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Brian Evans, one of the "new crooners" in the big band genre, will debut as a headliner at a major Las Vegas casino in August. Talks have been going on for several weeks.

Evans, who previously opened for the likes of Joan Rivers and Jay Leno (and a stint with "Social Distortion" that still has some puzzled, especially since the crowd cheered Evans like a rock star himself among 30,000 fans while he opened with such classics as "I've Got You Under My Skin"), will headline in a venue for the first time in his career.

"Prior to this, Brian has made a career out of corporate events and as the opening act, so it's nice to see things finally move the way he's wanted them to because he really has worked hard. I don't think you'll find a soul out there who'll say Evans hasn't worked for it. In fact, relentless is more like it," says Mark Biltz, a publicist for Evans.

Evans is currently recording his debut international release, and intends on only performing sporadic dates in Las Vegas.

"Brian's new CD will be global, and so will he. He owes Vegas, and he knows it," says Biltz. Evans performed thousands of shows in Las Vegas as the opening act and various special events. The new CD will feature a track written and produced by Ahmet Zappa, and one track recorded as a duet with Kelly Osbourne.

Evans adds, "The stage I'll be debuting on in Las Vegas as a headliner is a dream come true, trust me."
