Bethesda Hospital Asks Public to Help Find Missing Patient

ST. PAUL, MN--(Marketwire - May 27, 2008) - The public is being asked to help locate a patient with a brain injury who left the campus of a local hospital where she was undergoing treatment.

Marijke (pronounced "Mah-reye'-kah") Logan, age 23, left the grounds of Bethesda Hospital in downtown St. Paul yesterday (Monday, May 26) at approximately 1:30 p.m. Local police were immediately alerted and arrived within minutes to gather information and to search the surrounding neighborhood.

The hospital has been working with the family to determine where Marijke may have been headed. Now, after 24 hours of the authorities canvassing the area, the community is being asked for its help in finding Marijke.

Marijke is 5'6", 170 pounds, with long blond hair. She was last seen wearing a greenish-grey sweater, a brown tank top with crocheted lacework around the neck, light blue stonewashed jeans, black suede New Balance shoes, a beaded necklace and a headband.

While she is not a danger to others, she is dependent on medication as part of her treatment plan. Without access to that medication, she may inadvertently put her own safety and well-being at risk.

Anyone seeing Marijke or having information about her whereabouts is asked to call the St. Paul Police Department at 651-291-1111 (its non-emergent number) right away.
