Konecranes supplies 500 chain hoists for Olympic Games in Beijing
Konecranes has delivered more than 500 chain hoists for the Olympic Games in
Beijing. 400 of the hoists will be used to lift the lighting and sound
equipment used to create the scenic effects for the opening ceremony of the
Olympic Games. The other 100 hoists will be used throughout the stadium complex
and at other Olympic venues. Konecranes received the order in January 2008 and
shipped the first hoists in three weeks. The value of the order is not
disclosed.
Konecranes won this order as a result of several years of presence and
dedicated hard work in China.

The Stagemaker chain hoist is a product of Konecranes' brand company Verlinde.
Verlinde focuses on customized and specialized lifting solutions for concert
stages in the entertainment industry.
The compact, lightweight Stagemaker chain hoist can lift loads of up to one
metric ton at a speed of four meters per minute. It is known for its
reliability and functionality. Thousands of Stagemaker hoists are in use all
over the world.
