NCC to construct water and wastewater pipes in Österåker for approximately SEK
150 million

NCC Construction Sverige has been commissioned to extend the public water and
wastewater pipes in the municipal district of Svinninge in the Municipality of
Österåker. The client is Österåker Vatten AB through its parent company
Roslagsvatten AB and the contract is valued at about SEK 150 million.

The assignment includes the extension of public water and wastewater pipes in
about 30 detailed plan areas in the planned summer area of Svinninge. A total of
1,150 existing properties will be affected. After the extension, the
Municipality expects a 25-30-percent increase in the development density of the
area. 

The contract is a partnering contact between NCC, Roslagsvatten and the
Municipality of Österåker and entails that NCC will submit financial
calculations for each area. Once these financial calculations have been
approved, the formal order will be made. The order total of SEK 150 million
should be considered to be approximate since the order may be supplemented with
some road reconstruction work. 

- The partnering form of cooperation is optimal for this type of work being
carried out for a longer period of time. It means that all parties are involved
at a very early stage and that we can discuss the assignment together and reach
the most optimal solution, says Urban Sundström, Business Manager at NCC

Work is scheduled to commence as the detailed plans become legally binding and
is expected to extend for five to seven years.
