On 23 October 2008, BlackRock, Inc., informed us as follows:

On 20 October 2008, Black Rock, Inc., New York, USA, fell below the
threshold of 3 % of the voting rights in GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft,
Bochum, Germany. On that date, BlackRock, Inc. held 2.66 % of the voting
rights in GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft arising from 4,890,340 voting
rights. All voting rights in GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft were attributed
to BlackRock, Inc. pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in
connection with sent. 2 WpHG.
