SolarWorld AG has again been selected by the business consultancy Deloitte
as one of the fastest growing German technology companies in 2008. Together
with two other companies the solar technology group will receive the
Sustained Excellence Award for the first time after having been elected to
be among the 50 most successful and expansion-oriented technology providers
in previous years. By awarding the prize the jurors paid tribute to the
strong growth of SolarWorld AG as well as in particular to its innovative
strength, entrepreneurial spirit, employee motivation and financial
success. The award is sponsored jointly by the business magazine Capital,
Deutsche Börse AG and the Deutsche Vereinigung für Finanzanalyse und Asset
Management (DVFA).

Philipp Koecke, Chief Financial Officer of SolarWorld AG, commented on the
