Inbound Roaming Network Provides International Business and Leisure Travelers With 3G CDMA Services

COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 24, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) today congratulated PCCW on its CDMA2000(r) license acquisition and subsequent network launch last week in Hong Kong. "PCCW's roaming services will activate new revenue opportunities from a steady stream of international business and leisure travelers who want seamless access to the CDMA voice and broadband data services they have come to depend upon," said Tina Radford, regional director of the CDG. "We are pleased to see 3G CDMA services offered in Hong Kong and look forward to PCCW's continued success in the market."

PCCW is one of Asia's largest operators, and Hong Kong was home to the world's first CDMA network in 1995. Initial network coverage will encompass Hong Kong's urban Golden Bowl Area, while future network expansion will extend coverage to the rest of Hong Kong.
