no 05/09 Nord Pool launches new option contract and new ticker codes on Monday 2 February 2009

Nord Pool will launch an option contract on Monday 2 February 2009 in order to enhance their product range on options and enable customers to meet their needs. This option contract will have a quarterly expiry with the nearest year contract for Nordic power as the underlying reference. The first contract to be listed, on Monday 2 February 2009, will be for March expiry 09, with ENOYR-10 as underlying.

Ticker code

In order to show the expiry month in the ticker codes, Nord Pool will use a new ticker code structure on all new options listed from 2 February 2009.

For example, ENOCYR0MAR9-41 is detailed as follows:
 - ENO - Electricity Nordic 

 - C - Call 

 - YR0 - Year 10 is its underlying contract 

 - MAR9 - expiry March year 2009 

 - 41 - strike level 41
All options listed before 2 February will keep their existing ticker codes.
