Host Analytics Soars Into 2009 With Record Fourth Quarter Results

Total Transactions and Deal Size Rise From Previous Quarter, as SaaS CPM Star Shines

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - January 14, 2009) - Host Analytics, the leader in on- demand financial and corporate performance management (CPM), today announced record results for its fiscal year fourth quarter, completed December 31, 2008. As companies struggle to manage sharp and intensifying currents within their businesses, many are recognizing they cannot survive without systems that enable flexibility in budgeting and planning, and which deliver instant insight into their businesses. Host Analytics' market-leading SaaS CPM solutions satisfy this need with their ability to provide real-time analysis of sales and operational performance, while allowing businesses to effectively model for changing scenarios.

These factors, combined with a challenging economy and ongoing frustration at having to use static spreadsheets and conventional enterprise software to forecast complex financial situations, created the perfect storm for Host Analytics' achievement in the fourth quarter. In all, total customer transactions doubled from Q3 to Q4, and average annualized contract value increased by more than 100%.

"These are tough times for a lot of companies and I won't say that Host Analytics is somehow immune," said Jon Kondo, CEO at Host Analytics. "What I will say, however, is that we had a terrific quarter and a phenomenal year precisely because companies need financial visibility and flexibility now more than ever. Our belief is that, through the use of SaaS CPM systems like ours, global businesses can remain strong through the downturn and in fact position themselves well for success over the long haul as the economy begins to perk up."

Also in Q4, several "name" companies signed multi-year contracts with Host Analytics, including Acciona, Transplace, Helen of Troy and Ohio University. Host Analytics was selected over SAP, Hyperion and Adaptive Planning in multiple customer evaluations.

"Ohio University chose the Host Analytics solution because of its capabilities to support our budget process changes today and in the future," said William Decatur, Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration at Ohio University. "We found that the Host Analytics solution had much more robust reporting capabilities and experts who could help us best manage the complexities inherent in implementing the fund accounting architecture of our major research institution."

Finally, several existing customers expanded their use of Host Analytics, both in terms of the number of persons leveraging the solutions and the variety of application modules with which they interacted.

"The anticipation of the hassle-free upgrades to utilize the new features is our top reason to convert to SaaS," said Rick Bell, Budget Manager for McCoy Corporation. "We'll benefit from the easier process SaaS offers to communicate and gain access to enhancement requests and community ideas. We like what we saw of the new features of reporting and flexibility of the templates in V8.3."

Host Analytics' Q4 success caps a remarkably strong year during which the SaaS CPM leader appointed an all-new executive team; relocated from St. Louis to the Silicon Valley; closed its first institutional round of financing; surpassed the 7,500 paying users threshold; introduced version 8 of its CPM suite; and attracted the attention of leading analysts. Host Analytics also established itself as the only vendor to offer a complete suite of SaaS CPM solutions.
