Alytus, 9 March 2009. Alytus factory of the only refrigerators producer in the Baltic states AB „Snaigė“ from 9 March 2009 will not work for 4 days. According to the director general Gediminas Čeika, the company meets its customers‘ demand both by manufacturing new products and selling already manufactured products form the warehouses. „After the decrease in demand in main company‘s markets we are seeking not to increase the number of ready-made products kept in warehouses and to manufacture only the amount for which we have outstanding orders“ - said Gediminas Čeika. According to Gediminas Čeika, effective management of manufacturing processes and minimization of costs are the main means to assure successful business activity during current adverse economic period.
