Hot Web Subsidiary Announces Engagement

BOSTON, June 17, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hot Web, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HWBI), announced that Hot Web Properties, Inc. ("HWP"), which is 49% owned by the Company, has been engaged by American Community Development Corporation ("ACD") to assist them with the sale of donated items. ACD is a for profit organization that operates in partnership with area 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations, and donations can include everything from sculpture and artwork, to all types of vehicles, RV's, boats or even airplanes.

American Community Development assists non-profits in their group with consulting, operations, management and funding. The overall mission could be described as providing the necessary experience and skill sets required to create recurring revenue and cash flow within the dynamically changing nonprofit environment. The Company has agreements with multiple nonprofits to coordinate affordable housing programs, employment expansions programs for client residents, the actual purchase or creation of businesses that will employ clients, as well as the actual full-time operational management of the nonprofit entity. The Company has just reached such an agreement with New Beginnings in Recovery of Inverness, which has for the last several years operated a drug and alcohol rehab facility in that town. American Community Development is looking for further economies of scale by enlisting more partners with similar missions to be able to increase both the amount and consistency of funding.

John Folger, the President of ACD, recently stated that the expansion of Federal Stimulus Funding and other grants to assist disadvantaged populations must be properly utilized by nonprofits to build self sustaining business models because the old methods of relying on donations and contributions is no longer sustainable. Each nonprofit must now embrace basic business disciplines to survive.
